Pool 2 : 0 Spurs

GGGGGREAT! Finally we got our revenge against ‘Arry and his merry men!  Football is a strange sports. You win some and you lose some. But some wins are sweeter than others though!

Take Arsenal for example, who would have thought they will top the table this season. Earlier in the season, everyone was talking about this being either Chelsea or Liverpool’s year. I guess at least half of that statement is still valid!

At least we are still in the Europa League and still in contention for the 4th place… It’s gonna be a boring season for me.

How Low Can Liverpool Go?!!

My beloved Liverpool FC is struggling to even stay in the top 6 position of the Premier League. This is most unfortunate as I had initially thought that we will be fighting for the Premiership this season.

Some say it is due to the exit of Xabi Alonso. Others blamed it on Rafa, whom they say have lost the plot. There are also others who blame the two good-for-nothing Yanks who has piled huge amount of debt onto the club. Whichever is the case, watching football these days are just no fun.

Things could get worse next season. Gerrard and Torres could leave and we would be looking at finishing in the 2nd half of the table! Ugghh….

So please, please, please…. show us some miracle!!!!

Take A Memory Lane Walk Back To School

Many of us miss our school days, where life was more carefree, with no worries. Math class was my favorite together with biology. Seeing my classmates struggle in math really tickled me back then. My interests in math started in elementary school. It was really easy for me to grasp the math concepts or to do the multiplication table by heart. As I progress from one stage to another, I simply get better and better.

I still love math now as an adult. My job as a financial analyst allows me to use math in my daily work. Many items that I have acquired over the years also shows my interests in math. I use a HP financial calculator instead of your usual Casio calculator. I wear a pair of geometry cufflinks instead of your boring classic cufflinks. This pair of cufflinks consists of a protractor and a right-angled triangle. It is really cute and fashionable at the same time.

Alonso, Leaving or Staying? This is Getting Unbearable!!

Xabi AlonsoAfter weeks of speculation that Alonso may leave to Real, Rafa has again insisted that Alonso is not for sale. You know how much I rate him as a player and was against Rafa’s initial idea of selling him for Barry 2 seasons ago.

Now, with Liverpool’s team almost complete, it would be a disaster if Alonso leaves.

So Rafa, please put your foot down on this!

Alonso & Mascherano – pls stay!

As you may already know, Liverpool already have all the players they need to challenge for the BPL next season, that is if they don’t lose their two prized midfielders, Alonso and Mascherano. So, please stay you two! Next year is Liverpool’s year and it will be a waste to see both of you sitting on Real and Barca’s benches week in and week out fighting for non-existent places.

Stay at Liverpool and be guaranteed a BPL medal and lots of field action, and who knows, maybe a Champions League medal too :)

Federer To Be Tennis King

Roger Federer is seeking to be the greatest tennis player of all time if he wins the Wimbledon tournament. He is to play Andy Roddick of US later today and a victory would give him his 15th Grand Slam, a feat no other tennis player has been able to achieve.

I am eagerly awaiting the match and expect it to be a blast!

Juventus Rejects Alonso

Woohoo… I can only call this good news for Liverpool. Now that Juve is not interested in Alonso, lets hope Madrid will also forget about him. We need you Alonso. Please stay at Liverpool. Next season, we are destined to be Premier League champions. Don’t lose out on that!

Seriously, if Alonso were to go to Madrid, he may end up sitting on the bench most of the time. That is not a good way to prepare for the World Cup! Stay at Liverpool and he will get to play most of the games.

So please, please, please stay!

Knowing The Father’s Heart

According to Freeda Bowers, we get exactly what we ask for in prayer only if we are praying the will of the Father. How do we pray then? The Holy Spirit therefore is the only one who can direct us to the Father’s heart. If we are close and sensitive to the Spirit, we will then know how to pray. Seek the Father’s heart and not temporary relieve from your situation or circumstances.

For example, if you are sick and tired of your job and have been asking God for a new job, perhaps the Father’s heart is more concern with the root of the problem or issue. Some potential roots could be:

1. Dissatisfaction

2. Discontentment

3. Ungodly view on money

4. Ungodly view on time

5. Correcting a character issue, e.g. selfishness
